Alumni Spotlight

Aleecha

In 2015, Aleecha McCune graduated from Gettysburg College with a degree in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Post-graduation, Aleecha was accepted into the highly selective Teach for America corps and moved to Jacksonville, FL to began her career as an educator. In Jacksonville, Aleecha worked as an English teacher serving 6th-10th grade students. During her two years working in Jacksonville, her dedication to and love for educating in underprivileged communities grew and she chose to further her education in the field. Aleecha is currently living in Atlanta, GA, where she continues to teach while completing a Master's degree in Secondary Education at John Hopkins University. Aleecha has truly found her passion in spreading knowledge and educating the youth. Looking forward, Aleecha aspires to be the principal of a school serving underprivileged students and continue her work towards closing the educational gap in our country..
